Mental Illness Awareness Week
It’s Mental Illness Awareness Week. We all can play a part in fighting the stigma associated with mental health illnesses by raising awareness of mental health support resources. As a Christian part of my work includes letting individuals know that it is ok to pray and see a counselor, as well as, go to church and attend support groups. There is no harm in seeking help, just as there is nothing wrong with accepting it from others as well.
This week I will be sharing various ways to fight the stigma, as well as, resources and self-care management that may be used to alleviate some mental health illness symptoms. I will be showing my lime green in support of Mental Health and sharing different campaigns from other Mental Health organizations and advocates around the web.
